Musings of a Patriot

Welcome to Flight Crew Training International. Although I have been in the airline operations and pilot training business since 1978, I am now beginning to slow down and look in other directions - and at other interests. With this in mind, these pages will drift away from articles of interest primarily to pilots - or those interested in becomming pilots - and slide into non-flying areas. I shall begin with a look at the state of our political health, the feelings of other Americans and possible forecasts for our great country.	Unfortunately, America is at a critical crossroads that may well foretell the future of the country. Too many of our citizens, some, perhaps habouring feelings of patrioticism, have left the American model to satisfy their own political and personal ambitions. We see the hatred every day; we hear the venom spewing over the airways decrying the efforts of our fighting men and women who are following orders as they carry out the policy of our elected leaders. Democrats against Republications. Republications against Democrats. And, it seems everyone in the government against what our nation stands for - and has stood for for more than two hundred years!  The cycle is endless!  The rhetoric is vicious!  Bring change in our way of living at all costs. None of the politicians are thinking or acting like statesmen. The founders of this great country never thought of the immediate politics of their actions beyond the fact they needed to do something to get shed of the tyranny they knew.  Today we need STATESMEN AND STATESWOMEN if we are to survive as a nation.  We cannot wait.  Time is NOW.  We citizens MUST inform those who have insulated themselves in their offices as local, state and federal government representatives and senators, governors or president that we want a return to the America of the past.  An America when all citizens pulled together for the best of the country, not what is best for one or another of the ruling parties! I will publish in these pages tid-bits that have come via various formats, e-mail, letters, discussions and other sources as well as my own thoughts. Some of what will be written in these pages will upset the reader.  Some of it will cause the reader to cheer.  The main purpose is to get the reader to thinking about what is happening today, and hopefully generate a better understanding of what is at stake for our future, cause a healing and bring our citizens together to take back our great country!
