A veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or
reserve - is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America," for
an amount "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are far too many people in our country who no longer understand
it
WAKE UP AMERICA
REMEMBER THIS FOREVER
It is worse than you thought and remembered and well worth
reading.
P.S. This was written by a Democrat.
Dear Mr. Ex-President Clinton:
I recently saw a bumper
sticker that said, "Thank me, I voted for Clinton-Gore." So, I sat down and reflected on that, and I am sending my "Thank
you" for what you have done, specifically:
1. Thank you for introducing us to Jennifer Flowers, Paula Jones, Monica
Lewinsky, Dolly Kyle Browning, Kathleen Willey, and Juanita Broderick. Did I leave anyone out?
2. Thank you for
teaching my 8-year old about oral sex. I had really planned to wait until he was a little older to discuss it with him, but
now he knows more about it than I did as a senior in college.
3. Thank you for showing us that sexual harassment
in the work place (especially the White House) and on the job is okay, and all you have to know is what the meaning of "it"
is. It really is great to know that certain sexual acts are not sex, and one person may have sex while the other one does
NOT have sex.
4. Thank you for re-introducing the concept of impeachment to a new generation and demonstrating
that the ridiculous plot of the movie "Wag the Dog" could be plausible after all.
5. Thanks for making Jimmy Carter
look competent, Gerald Ford look graceful, Richard Nixon look honest, Lyndon Johnson look truthful, and John Kennedy look
moral.
6. Thank you for the 73 House and Senate witnesses who have pled the 5th Amendment and 17 witnesses who
have fled the country to avoid testifying about Democratic campaign fund raising.
7. Thank you, for the 19 charges,
8 convictions, and 4 imprisonment's from the Whitewater "mess" and the 55 criminal charges and 32 criminal convictions (so
far) in the other "Clinton" scandals.
8. Thanks also for reducing our military by half, gutting much of our foreign
policy, and flying all over the world on "vacations" carefully disguised as necessary trips.
9. Thank you, also,
for "finding" millions of dollars (I really didn't need it in the first place, and I can't think of a more deserving group
of recipients for my hard-earned tax dollars) for all of your globe-trotting. I understand you, the family and your cronies
have logged in more time aboard Air Force One than any other administration.
10. Now that you've left the White House,
thanks for the 140 pardons of convicted felons and indicted felons-in-exile. We will love to have them rejoin society. (Not
to mention the scores you pardoned while Governor of Arkansas)
11. Thanks also for removing the White House silverware.
I'm sure that Laura Bush didn't like the pattern anyway. Also, enjoy the housewarming gifts you've received from your "friends."
12. Thanks to you and your staff in the West Wing of the White House for vandalizing and destroying government property
on the way out. I also appreciate removing all of that excess weight (China, silverware, linen, towels, ash trays, soap, pens,
magnetic compass, flight manuals, etc.) out of Air Force 1. The weight savings means burning less fuel, thus less tax dollars
spent on jet fuel. Thank you!
13. Please ensure that Hillary enjoys the $8 million dollar advance for her "tell-all"
book and you, Bill, the $10 million advance for your memoirs. Who says crime doesn't pay!
11. The last and most important
point - thank you for forcing Israel to let Mohammed Atta go free.
Terrorist pilot Mohammed Atta blew up a bus in
Israel in 1986. The Israelis captured, tried and imprisoned him. As part of the Oslo agreement with the Palestinians in
1993, Israel had to agree to release so-called "political prisoners." However, the Israelis would not release any with blood
on their hands. The American President at the time, Bill Clinton, and his Secretary of State, Warren Christopher, insisted
that all prisoners be released. Thus, Mohammed Atta was freed and eventually thanked the U.S. by flying an airplane into
Tower One of the World Trade Center. This was reported by many of the American TV networks at the time that the terrorists
were first identified. It was censored in the U.S. from all later reports. Why shouldn't Americans know the real truth?
What a guy!!
PS. Please pass along a special thank you to Al Gore for inventing the Internet, without which
I would not be able to send this wonderful, factual message!
AND THE REST OF THE STORY
Hillary Rodham Clinton,
as a New York State Senator, now comes under the "Congressional Retirement and Staffing Plan," which means that even if she
never gets reelected, she STILL receives her Congressional salary until she dies. (Would it not be nice if all Americans were
pension eligible after only 4 years?)
If Bill outlives her, he then inherits HER salary until HE dies. He is already
getting his Presidential salary until he dies. If Hillary outlives Bill, she also gets HIS salary until she dies. Guess who
pays for that?
WE DO!
It is common knowledge that in order for her to establish NY residency, they purchased
a million dollar-plus house in upscale Chappaqua, New York.
Makes sense. They are entitled to Secret Service protection
for life. Still makes sense.
Here is where it becomes interesting. Their mortgage payments hover at around $10,000
per month. BUT, an extra residence HAD to be built within the acreage to house the Secret Service agents.
The Clintons
charge the Federal government $10,000 monthly rent for the use of that extra residence, which is just about equal to their
mortgage payment. This means that we, the taxpayers, are paying the Clinton's salary, mortgage, transportation, safety and
security, as well as the salaries for their 12 man staff.
And this is all perfectly legal!
When she runs for
President, will you vote for her?
WAKE UP AMERICA
MIDDLE EAST IMPERATIVE
BY
JIM CASH, Brig.
Gen., USAF, Ret.
I wrote recently about the war in Iraq and the larger war against radical Islam, eliciting a number
of responses. Let me try and put this conflict in proper perspective.
Understand, the current battle we are engaged
in is much bigger that just Iraq. What happens in the next year will affect this country and how our kids and grandkids live
throughout their lifetime, and beyond. Radical Islam has been attacking the West since the seventh century. They have been
defeated in the past and decimated to the point of taking hundreds of years to recover. But they can never be totally defeated. Their
birth rates are so far beyond civilized world rates that in time they recover and attempt to dominate again.
There
are eight terror-sponsoring countries that make up the grand threat to the West. Two, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, just need
firm pressure from the West to make major reforms. They need to decide who they are really going to support and commit to
that support. That answer is simple. They both will support who they think will hang in there until the end, and win. We
are not sending very good signals in that direction right now, thanks to the Democrats.
The other six, Afghanistan,
Iraq, Iran, Syria, North Korea and Libya will require regime change or a major policy shift. Now, let's look more closely.
Afghanistan
and Iraq have both had regime changes, but are being fueled by outsiders from Syria and Iran. We have scared Gaddafi's pants
off, and he has given up his quest for nuclear weapons, so I don't think Libya is now a threat. North Korea (the non-Islamic
threat) can be handled diplomatically by buying them off. They are starving. That leaves Syria and Iran. Syria is like a
frightened puppy. Without the support of Iran they will join the stronger side. So where does that leave us? Sooner, or
later, we are going to be forced to confront Iran, and it better be before they gain nuclear capability.
In 1989 I
served as a Command Director inside the Cheyenne Mountain complex located in Colorado Springs, Colorado for almost three years.
My job there was to observe (through classified means) every missile shot anywhere in the world and assess if it was a threat
to the US or Canada. If any shot was threatening to either nation I had only minutes to advise the President, as he had only
minutes to respond. I watched Iran and Iraq shoot missiles at each other every day, and all day long, for months. They killed
hundreds of thousand of their people. Know why? They were fighting for control of the Middle East and that enormous oil
supply.
At that time, they were preoccupied with their internal problems and could care less about toppling the west.
Oil prices were fairly stable and we could not see an immediate threat. Well, the worst part of what we have done as a nation
in Iraq is to do away with the military capability of one of those nations. Now, Iran has a clear field to dominate the Middle
East, since Iraq is no longer a threat to them. They have turned their attention to the only other threat to their dominance,
the United States. They are convinced they will win, because the United States is so divided, and the Democrats (who now control
Congress and may control the Presidency in 2008) have openly said we are pulling out.
Do you have any idea what will
happen if the entire Middle East turns their support to Iran, which they will obviously do if we pull out? It is not the
price of oil we will have to worry about. Oil will not be made available to this country at any price. I personally would
vote for any presidential candidate who did what JFK did with the space Program – declare a goal to bring this country
to total energy independence in a decade.
Yes, it is about oil. The economy in this country will totally die if that
Middle East supply is cut off right now. It will not be a recession. It will be a depression that will make 1929 look like
the "good-old-days".
The bottom line here is simple. If Iran is forced to fall in line, the fighting in Iraq will
end over night, and the nightmare will be over. One way or another, Iran must be forced to join modern times and the global
community. It may mean a real war – if so, now is the time, before we face a nuclear Iran with the capacity to destroy Israel
and begin a new ice age.
(I urge you to read the book "END GAME" by two of our best Middle East experts, true American
patriots and retired military generals, Paul Vallely and Tom McInerney. They are our finest, and totally honest in their
assessment of why victory in the Middle East is so important, and how it can be won. Proceeds for the book go directly to
memorial fund for our fallen soldiers who served the country during the war on terror. You can find that book by going to
the internet through Stand-up America at www.ospreyradio.us or www.rightalk.com).
On the other hand, we have several
very angry retired generals today, who evidently have not achieved their lofty goals, and insist on ranting and raving about
the war. They are wrong, and doing the country great harm by giving a certain political party reason to use them as experts
to back their anti-war claims.
You may be one of those who believe nothing could ever be terrible enough to support
our going to war. If that is the case I should stop here, as that level of thinking approaches mental disability in this
day and age. It is right up there with alien abductions and high altitude seeding through government aircraft contrails.
I helped produced those contrails for almost 30 years, and I can assure you we were not seeding the atmosphere. The human
race is a war-like population, and if a country is not willing to protect itself, it deserves the consequences. Nuff-said!!!
Now,
my last comments will get to the nerve. They will be on politics.
I am not a Republican. And, George Bush has made
enough mistakes as President to insure my feelings about that for the rest of my life. However, the Democratic Party has
moved so far left, they have made me support those farther to the right. I am a conservative who totally supports the Constitution
of this country. The only difference between the United States and the South American, third world, dictator infested and
ever-changing South American governments, is our U.S. Constitution.
This Republic (note I did not say Democracy) is
the longest standing the world has ever known, but it is vulnerable. It would take so little to change it through economic
upheaval. There was a time when politicians could disagree, but still work together. We are past that time, and that is
the initial step toward the downfall of our form of government. I think that many view Bush-hating as payback time. The
Republicans hated the Clintons and now the Democrats hate Bush. So, both parties are putting their hate toward willingness
to do anything for political dominance to include lying and always taking the opposite stand just for the sake of being opposed.
JUST HOW GOOD IS THAT FOR OUR COUNTRY?
In my lifetime, after serving in uniform for President's Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon,
Ford, Carter, Reagan, and Bush I have a pretty good feel for which party supported our military, and what military life was
like under each of their terms. And, let me assure you that times were best under the Republicans. Service under Jimmy Carter
was devastating for all branches of the military. And, Ronald Regan was truly a salvation. You can choose to listen to
enriched newscasters, and foolish people like John Murtha (he is no war hero), Nancy Pelosi, John Kerry, Michael Moore, Jane
Fonda, Harry Reid, Russ Feingold, Hillary Clinton, Ted Kennedy, and on-and-on to include the true fools in Hollywood if you
like. If you do, your conclusions will be totally wrong.
The reason that I write, appear on radio talk shows, and
do everything I can to denounce those people is simple. THEY ARE PUTTING THEIR THIRST FOR POLITICAL POWER AND QUEST FOR
VICTORY IN 2008 ABOVE WHAT IS BEST FOR THIS COUNTRY. I cannot abide that. Pelosi clearly defied the Logan Act by going to
Syria, which should have lead to imprisonment of three years and a heavy fine. Jane Fonda did more to prolong the Vietnam
war longer than any other human being (as acknowledged by Ho Chi Minh in his writing before he died). She truly should have
been indicted for treason, along with her radical husband Tom Hayden, and forced to pay the consequences.
This country
has started to soften by not enforcing its laws, which is another indication of a Republic about to fall. All Democrats,
along with the Hollywood elite, are sending us headlong into a total defeat in the Middle East, which will finally give Iran
total dominance in the region. A lack of oil in the near future will be the final straw that dooms this Republic. However,
if we refuse to let this happen and really get serious about an energy self-sufficiency program, this can be avoided.
I
am afraid, however, that we are going in the opposite direction. If we elect Hillary Clinton and a Democrat controlled congress,
and they carry through with allowing Iran to take control of the Middle East, continue to refuse development of nuclear energy,
refuse to allow drilling for new oil, and continue to do nothing but oppose everything Bush, it will be over in terms of what
we view as the good life in the USA.
Now, do I think that all who do not support the war are un-American – of course
not. They just do not understand the importance of total victory in that region. Another failure of George Bush is his inability
to explain to the American people why we are there, and why we MUST win. By the way, it is not a war. The war was won four
years ago. It is martial law that is under attack by Iranian and Syrian outside influences, and there is a difference.
So,
what do I believe? What is the bottom line? I will simply say that the Democratic Party has fielded the foulest, power hungry,
anti-country, self absorbed group of individuals that I have observed in my lifetime. Our educational system is partially
to blame for allowing the mass of America to be taken in by this group. George Bush has done the best he can with the disabilities
that he possesses. A President must communicate with the people. And, I would tell you that Desert Storm spoiled the people.
Bush Senior's 100-hour war convinced the people that technology has progressed to the point that wars could be fought with
no casualties and won in very short periods of time. I remember feeling at the time, that this was a tragedy for the U.S.
military. To win wars, you must put boots on the ground. When you put boots on the ground, soldiers are going to die. A
President must make the war decision wisely, and insure that the cause is right before using his last political option. However,
CONTROLLING IRAN AND DEMOCRATIZING THE MIDDLE EAST IS THE ONLY CHOICE IF WE ARE HELL-BENT ON DEPENDING ON THEM FOR OUR FUTURE
ENERGY NEEDS.
Jimmy L. Cash, Brig. Gen., USAF, Ret. jcash1@bresnan.net
Gen. Curtis LeMay had a very pointed
thought about war:
"I'll tell you what war is all about, you've got to kill people, and when you've killed enough they
stop fighting."
Thoughts About the Holocaust A man, whose family was of German aristocracy prior to World
War II, owned a number of large industries and estates. When asked how many German people were true Nazis, the answer he
gave should guide our attitude toward the fanaticism we see around us today.
"Very few German people were true Nazis,"
he said, "but many of those non-Nazis enjoyed and celebrated the return of German pride. But sadly, many more were much too
busy to care. I was one of those who just thought the Nazis were a bunch of fools. So the majority simply sat back and let
it all happen then, before we knew it, the Nazis owned us; we had lost control; the end of the world as we knew it had come.
My family lost everything. I ended up in a concentration camp and the Allies destroyed my factories."
We Americans
are told again and again by self-appointed "experts" and talking heads that Islam is the religion of peace; that the vast
majority of Muslims only want to live in peace.
Although this unsubstantiated assertion may have a small possibility
of truth, it is entirely irrelevant to the overall situation. It is meaningless fluff, meant to make us feel better; meant
to somehow diminish the specter of fanatics rampaging across the globe in the name of Islam. The fact is that the fanatics
rule Islam at this moment in history, as they have since the time of Mohammad.
It is the fanatics who march.
It
is the fanatics who are waging any of the current 50 shooting wars worldwide.
It is the fanatics who systematically
slaughter Christian or tribal groups throughout Africa, and are gradually taking over the entire continent in an Islamic wave.
It
is the fanatics who bomb, behead, murder, or 'honor' kill.
It is the fanatics who take over mosque after mosque.
It
is the fanatics who zealously spread the stoning and hanging of rape victims and homosexuals.
The hard quantifiable
fact is that the "peaceful majority" the "silent majority" is cowed and extraneous.
Communist Russia comprised Russians
who just wanted to live in peace, yet the Russian Communists were responsible for the murder of about 20 million of their
own people. The peaceful majority were irrelevant.
The vast majority of China's huge population may be seen as peaceful,
but fanatical Chinese Communists leaders managed to kill a staggering 70 million of their own people.
The average Japanese
individual prior to World War II was not a warmongering sadist. Yet, Japan’s army and navy murdered and slaughtered its way
across South East Asia and the Pacific in an orgy of killing that included the systematic murder of 12 million Chinese civilians;
most killed by sword, shovel and bayonet.
And, who can forget Rwanda, which collapsed into butchery can it not be
said that the majority of Rwandans were "peace-loving"?
History lessons are often incredibly simple and blunt, yet
for all our powers of reason we often miss the most basic and uncomplicated of points:
Peace-loving Muslims have been
made irrelevant by their silence.
Peace-loving Muslims will become our enemy if they don't speak up, because like the
German who spoke earlier, they will awake one day and find that the fanatics own them, and the end of their world will have
begun
Peace-loving Germans, Japanese, Chinese, Russians, Rwandans, Serbs, Afghans, Iraqis, Palestinians, Somalis, Nigerians,
Algerians, and many others have died because the peaceful majority did not speak up until it was too late.
As for us
who watch it all unfold; we must pay attention to the only group that counts; the fanatics who threaten our way of life.
It
is time we stop putting our collective heads deep into the sand and begin looking at the problem with a very clear image of
just what is at stake. The militant fanatics of Islam do not want to assimilate into any other society. Indeed No follower
of Islam CAN assimilate into another society and maintain his identity within their faith. All true Muslims are taught from
birth that theirs is the only true faith, and it is his duty to either convert all others to Islam or kill those who do not
convert!
We, as a free society, free to choose how to believe, how to pray, how to live, how to dress, and a whole
host of other factors, run directly counter to the teachings of Islam. Through the mullahs Muslims receive all of their
early indoctrination and continued instruction. Muslims are taught that they have no responsibility for their actions, no
choice in the direction of their life. Everything that ever happens to them is a direct intervention of Allah. Only through
Allah can they expect to accomplish anything, and Allah’s instructions come to them through their mullah. This is the reason
there is so much power concentrated within the fanatics.
Leaders of the fanatical movements understand the dynamics
of group control through indoctrination. They understand that control of individuals to carry out their wishes is simple
when they invoke the name of Allah in connection with their aims. From early childhood Muslims are taught that any thing
that is done in the name of Allah is a sin. And everything that is done in the name of Allah is honorable, and will ensure
his rise to Allah’s presence. This, very simplistically, explains why young men, and yes, young women, are willing to strap
themselves into a bomb with the intention of killing any and all non-Muslims they can. This explains why, seemingly intelligent,
young men will deliberately fly an airplane into a building, killing thousands of innocent people.
We, as freedom loving
people must begin NOW to get our security in order. We cannot allow the experts and talking heads to downplay the seriousness
of the current crisis. And, have no doubt about it, we are in the midst of a general crisis. Our borders are essentially
wide open. There are an estimated twelve to twenty million people in our country right now. With that many illegal trespassers
here, there must surely be many who intend to do us harm. How many, no one can possibly know, but even one is too many!
We MUST get ready for the fight that will surly come to our shores if we are unable to stem the tide of fanaticism aimed at
destroying America and the American way of life. This article, written by Larry Abraham in 2004 continues to ring exactly
true in the waning days of 2007.
American citizens need to wake up and face the world as it really is, not look through
the rose colored glasses too many of them view a distorted reality as they wish it to be. We, America, are at war, not because
we want to be, but because our very existence depends upon our winning. We did not want this war – it was brought to our
shores and more than 3,000 of our fellow citizens died in the cowardly attack using hijacked airliners against civilian targets.
Any
reasonable people could be expected to engage the enemy, as we did in 1941 when the pilots of Japan laid waste our Pacific
navy at Pearl Harbor. That was an act of war! The attack on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon was an act of war!
We were forced into the war in the Pacific and Europe – we were forced into the war in Iraq. There are only a few differences
between World War II and the current war:
In WW II we had a definite enemy to engage; in this war the enemy is shadowy,
cowardly, sneaky, and very difficult to distinguish from innocent civilians – among whom he hides.
In WW II Americans
understood the very survival of our great country depended upon our winning the war over slavery and tyranny; in this war
many Americans can only think of bringing down an administration that had been elected in any way possible, including, if
need be, the destruction of the government and the country.
The enemy we face is dedicated and fanatical in their
desire to see America die! Do not lose track of that important fact. Our enemy does not want to assimilate with us – nor
do they want us to assimilate with them! They want to see us all dead. Understand that.
If America cannot come together
in our efforts to maintain our existence – and come together soon – there will not be a United States of America. If Democrats
and Republicans cannot see past their evident hatred for one another and the values each stand for, we may well be witness
to the decline of America – just as a previous great civilization saw the demise of Rome!
THE CLASH OF CIVILIZATIONS
AND THE GREAT CALIPHATE
by Larry Abraham, January 29, 2004
Note....this was written before John Kerry had
the nomination sewed up, and President Bush had won the election...but events clearly demonstrated that Kerry would try to
fulfill Abraham's prediction of calling for the UN and the French / German / Spain coalition to force the US out of Iraq.
I
urge all of my readers to make copies of this report and send them to your friends and relatives. The information is too critical
to be over looked in the madness of this election year.
Watching and listening to the Democrat Party candidates is
tantamount to enduring the Chinese water torture. The blah, blah, blah goes on and on and nothing of value comes out except
the pain of listening to the same nothingness over and over again. I won't take the time or space to repeat what you have
heard so many mind numbing times but what you have not heard is crucial.
President Bush and his administration spokesmen
are not telling the American people what they really need to know about this "war." If they don't do that between now and
November it may cost them the election.
The war against terror did not begin on September 11, 2001, nor will it end
with the peaceful transition to civilian authority in Iraq, whenever that may be. In fact, Iraq is but a footnote in the
bigger context of this encounter, but an important one nonetheless.
This war is what the Jihadists themselves are
calling the "Third Great Jihad." They are operating within the framework of a time line which reaches back to the very creation
of Islam in the seventh century and are presently attempting to recreate the dynamics which gave rise to the religion in the
first two hundred years of its existence.
No religion in history grew as fast, in its infancy, and the reasons for
the initial growth of Islam are not hard to explain when you understand what the world was like at the time of Muhammad's
death in 632 AD. Remember that the Western Roman Empire was in ruins and the Eastern Empire, based in Constantinople, was
trying desperately to keep the power of its early grandeur while transitioning to Christianity as a de facto state religion.
The costs to the average person were large as he was being required to meet the constantly rising taxes levied by the state
along with the tithes coerced by the Church. What Islam offered was the "carrot or the sword". If you became a convert,
your taxes were immediately eliminated, as was your tithe. If you didn't, you faced death. The choice was not hard for most
to make, unless you were a very devoted martyr in the making. At the beginning, even the theology was not too hard for most
to swallow, considering that both Jewry and Christianity were given their due by the Prophet. There is but one God – Allah
, and Muhammad is His Prophet, as was Jesus, and the pre-Christian Jewish prophets of the Torah (Old Testament). Both were
called "children of the book" – the book being the Koran, which replaced both the Old and New Testaments for former Christians
and Jews.
With this practical approach to spreading the "word" Islam grew like wild-fire, reaching out from the Saudi
Arabian Peninsula in all directions. This early growth is what the Muslims call the "First" great Jihad and it met with little
resistance until Charles Martel of France, the father of Charlemagne, stopped them in the battle of Tours in France, after
they had firmly established Islam on the Iberian Peninsula. This first onslaught against the West continued in various forms
and at various times until Islam was finally driven out of Spain in 1492 at the battle of Granada.
The "Second great
jihad" came with the Ottoman Turks. This empire succeeded in bringing about the downfall of Constantinople as a Christian
stronghold and an end to Roman hegemony in all of its forms. The Ottoman Empire was Islam's most successful expansion of
territory even though the religion itself had fractured into warring sects and bitter rivalries with each claiming the ultimate
truths in "the ways of the Prophet." By 1683 the Ottomans had suffered a series of defeats on both land and sea and the
final, unsuccessful attempt to capture Vienna set the stage for the collapse of any further territorial ambitions and Islam
shrunk into various sheikhdoms, emir dominated principalities, and roving tribes of nomads. However, by this time a growing
anti-western sentiment, blaming its internal failures on anyone but themselves, was taking hold and setting the stage for
a new revival known as Wahhabism, a sect which came into full bloom under the House of Saud on the Arabian Peninsula shortly
before the onset of WWI. It is this Wahhabi version of Islam which has infected the religion itself, now finding adherents
in almost all branches and sects, especially the Shiites.
Wahhabiism calls for the complete and total rejection or
destruction of anything and everything which is not based in the original teachings of The Prophet, and finds its most glaring
practice in the policies of the Afghani Taliban or the Shiite practices of the late Ayatollah Khomeini in Iran. Its Ali Pasha
(Field Marshall) is now known as Osama bin Laden, the leader of the "Third Jihad", who is Wahhabi as were his 9/11 attack
teams, 18 of which were also Saudi.
The strategy for this "holy war" did not begin with the planning of the destruction
of the World Trade Center. It began with the toppling of the Shah of Iran back in the late 1970's. With his plans and programs
to "westernize" his country, along with his close ties to the U.S. and subdued acceptance of the State of Israel, the Shah
was the soft target. Remember "America Held Hostage"?
Thanks, in large part to the hypocritical and disastrous policies
of the Jimmy Carter State Department, the revolution was set into motion, the Shah was deposed, his armed forces scattered
or murdered and stage one was complete. The Third Jihad now had a base of operations and the oil wealth to support its grand
design or what they call the "Great Caliphate".
What this design calls for is the replacement of all secular leadership
in any country with Muslim majorities. This would include, Egypt, Turkey, Pakistan, Indonesia, all the Emirates, Sudan, Tunisia,
Libya, Algeria, Morocco, Yemen, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Malaysia, Indonesia and finally what they call the "occupied territory"
Israel.
As a part of this strategy, forces of the jihad will infiltrate governments and the military as a prelude
to taking control, once the secular leadership is ousted or assassinated. Such was the case in Lebanon leading to the Syrian
occupation and in Egypt with the murder of Anwar Sadat, along with the multiple attempts on the lives of Hussein in Jordan,
Mubarak of Egypt and Musharraf in Pakistan. Pakistan is a particular prize because of its nuclear weapons. (Please note the
al Qaeda call for the Islamic-militant overthrow of Musharraf in Pakistan on March 25, just yesterday.)
The long-range
strategy of the Third Jihad counts on three strategic goals:
First, the U.S. withdrawing from the region just as
it did in Southeast Asia, following Vietnam;
Second, taking control of the oil wealth in the Muslim countries, which
would be upwards to 75% of known reserves;
Third, using nuclear weapons or other WMDs to annihilate Israel.
A
further outcome of successfully achieving these objectives would be to place the United Nations as the sole arbiter in East
/ West negotiations and paralyze western resistance, leading to total withdrawal from all Islamic dominated countries
Evidence
of the Bush Administration awareness of this plan is found in the events immediately following the 9/11 attack. The administration's
first move was to shore up Pakistan and Egypt, believing that these two would be the next targets for al Qaeda, while Americans
focused on the disaster in New York. The administration also knew that the most important objective was to send a loud and
clear message that the U.S. was in the region to stay, not only to shore up our allies but to send a message to the Jihadists.
The attack on Afghanistan was necessary to break up a secure al Qaeda base of operations and put their leadership
on the run or in prison.
The war in Iraq also met a very strategic necessity in that no one knew how much collaboration
existed between Saddam Hussein and the master planners of the Third Jihad or Hussein's willingness to hand off WMDs to terrorist
groups including the PLO in Israel. What was known were serious indications of ongoing collaboration as Saddam funneled money
to families of suicide bombers attacking the Israelis and others in Kuwait.
What the U.S. needed to establish was
a significant base of operations smack dab in the middle of the Islamic world, in a location which effectively cut it in half.
Iraq was the ideal target for this and a host of other strategic reasons.
Leadership of various anti-American groups
both here and abroad understood the vital nature of the Bush initiative and thus launched their demonstrations, World-Wide,
to "Stop The War." Failing this, they also laid plans to build a political campaign inside the country, with the War in Iraq
as a plebiscite, using a little known politician as the thrust point – Howard Dean. This helps to explain how quickly the
Radical Left moved into the Dean campaign with both people and money, creating what the clueless media called the "Dean Phenomenon".
By building on the left-wing base in the Democrat party and the "Hate Bush" crowd, the campaign has already resulted in
a consensus among the aspirants, minus Joe Lieberman, to withdraw the U.S. from Iraq and turn the operation over to the U.N.
And, if past is prologue, i.e., Vietnam, once the U.S. leaves it will not go back under any circumstances, possibly even the
destruction of Israel.
Should George W. Bush be defeated in November we could expect to see the dominoes start to
fall in the secular Islamic countries and The Clash of Civilizations, predicted several years ago by Samuel Huntington, would
then become a life changing event in all of our lives. (Fortunately, President Bush prevailed in the election and we did
not face the destruction of the Middle East, as we watched the destruction of South Viet Nam.)
What surprised the Jihadists
following the 9/11 attack was how American sentiment mobilized around the president and a profound sense of patriotism spread
across the country. They were not expecting this reaction, based on what had happened in the past, nor were they expecting
the determined resolve of the President himself. I also believe this is one of the reasons we have not had any further attacks
within our borders. They are content to wait, just as one of their tactical mentors; V.I. Lenin admonished..."two steps forward,
one step back".
A couple additional events serve as valuable footnotes to the current circumstances we face:
First,
the destruction of the human assets (Agents) factor of the CIA during the Carter presidency, presided over by the late Senator
Frank Church. This fact has plagued our intelligence agencies right up to this very day with consequences which are now obvious.
Second, Jimmy Carter himself, the one man who must bear the bulk of the responsibility for setting the stage of the
Third Jihad.
Americans should find little comfort in how the Democrat contenders constantly seek the "advice and counsel"
of this despicable little hypocrite.
Lastly, we should not expect to see any meaningful cooperation from Western Europe,
especially the French. Since failing to protect their own interests in Algeria (by turning the country over to the first
of the Arab terrorists, Ammad Ben Bella), the country itself is now occupied by Islamic immigrants totaling twenty percent
of the population.
We are in the battle of our lives, a battle which will go on for many years possibly even generations.
If we fail to understand what we are facing or falter in the challenge of "knowing our enemy" the results will be catastrophic.
Imagine a world where al Qaeda regimes control 75% of the world's oil, have at their disposal nuclear weapons, legions of
willing suicide soldiers, and our national survival is dependent on the good graces of the United Nations.
There is
one final footnote which may be the scariest of all. Either none of the Democrats currently leading the drive to their party's
nomination are aware of the facts of the Great Caliphate and Third Jihad or they do know and they don't care so long as their
power lust is satisfied. But, I can guarantee you one thing for sure: some of their most ardent supporters are aware of this
and will do anything they can to bring it about.
Also I think that the current 9/11 hearings are a political "show"
and Clarke's book were timed for these hearings and the campaign. And this is why, I think, Condoleezza Rice wanted a private
meeting with the commission to tell it like it is. The national security issues involved around 9/11 should not be an open
book to the public, and I think we need to understand that.
This is scary stuff. President Bush and the Republicans
are obviously extremely cautious in bringing this issue to the campaign because the left-leaning media and the Democratic
"left" would call this "racist" against Islam and a distraction for the alleged lies of WMD. I think that in listing our
reasons for going into Iraq, Bush correctly referred to the "axis of evil" (Iran, Libya, Iraq and North Korea) as a pointed
strategy to blunt the WMD-terrorist movement, and he has been very successful in thwarting al Qaeda, despite what everyone
on the left says. We are far better off without the threat from Iraq and Libya within the last 12 months.
We are
threatened in Pakistan, and if Musharraf is assassinated (it's been tried several times), we can see how the militants will
gain control of Pakistan's nuclear weapons, which have already spread to Iran (by a militant Islamic scientist) and if Musharraf
is "taken out" we have both Iran and Pakistan as militant Islamic power bases armed with nuclear weapons. And let's not overlook
Abraham's issue about the potential for militant Islamic states who would control 75% of the world's oil.
This probably
why Dick Cheney, Rice, Powell, and Wolfowitz are so committed to the belief that we are in this struggle for the free world
as we have known it and focused on defeating the militant Islamic-al Maida's global strategy. They skirt the core issues
raised by Abraham in this article because of the political-correctness implications, but after reading this, you may have
a different "idea" of what could be at stake here. Perhaps liberal Democrats want control of Washington at any price. Abraham
clearly spells out what price that is: Victory for al Qaeda and the Islamic militancy.
Abraham's article brings all
of these issues together, giving us a different perspective on a militant Islamic movement. This article might be good to
pass on to our friends and associates.
Winston Churchill
Unbelievable, but the speech below was written
in 1899 when he was a young soldier and journalist. It probably sets out the current views of many but expressed in the wonderful
Churchillian turn of phrase and use of the English language, of which he was a past master. Sir Winston Churchill was, without
doubt, one of the greatest men of the late 19th and 20th centuries. He was a brave young soldier, a brilliant journalist,
an extraordinary politician and statesman, a great war leader and Prime Minister, to whom the Western world must be forever
i n his debt. He was a prophet in his own time; He died on 24 January 1965, at the grand old age of 90 and, after a lifetime
of service to his country, was accorded a State funeral.
HERE IS THE SPEECH:
"How dreadful are the curses
which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in
a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy. The effects are apparent in many countries, improvident habits, slovenly
systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet
rule or live. A degraded sensualism deprives this life of its grace and refinement, the next of its dignity and sanctity.
The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property, either as a child, a wife, or
a concubine, must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men.
Individual Moslems may show splendid qualities, but the influence of the religion paralyses the social development of those
who follow it. No stronger retrograde force exists in the world. Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and
proselytizing faith. It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at every step; and were it
not that Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science, the science against which it had vainly struggled, the civilization
of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilization of ancient Rome."

edition, Vol. II, pages 248-50 London
Churchill saw it coming.
AMERICA IS AT WAR Take it from this
old KGB hand: The left is abetting America's enemies with its intemperate attacks on President Bush.
BY ION MIHAI
PACEPA Tuesday, August 7, 2007 12:01 a.m.
During the recent two-day summit, British Prime Minister Gordon Brown
thanked President Bush for leading the global war on terror. Mr. Brown acknowledged “. . .the debt the world owes to
the U.S. for its leadership in this fight against international terrorism," and vowed to follow Winston Churchill's lead and
make Britain's ties with America even stronger.
Mr. Brown's statements elicited anger from many of Mr. Bush's domestic
detractors, who claim the President concocted the war on terror for personal gain. But as someone who escaped from communist
Romania--with two death sentences on his head – in order to become a citizen of this great country, I have a hard time understanding
why some of our top political leaders can dare in a time of war to call our Commander-in-Chief a "liar," a "deceiver" and
a "fraud."
I spent decades scrutinizing the U.S. from Europe, and I learned that international respect for America
is directly proportional to America's own respect for its president.
My father spent most of his life working for General
Motors in Romania and had a picture of President Truman in our house in Bucharest. While "America" was a vague place somewhere
thousands of miles away, the president was her tangible symbol. For us, it was he who had helped save civilization from the
Nazi barbarians, and it was he who helped restore our freedom after the war – if only for a brief while. We learned that
America loved Truman, and we loved America! It was as simple as that.
Later, when I headed Romania's intelligence
station in West Germany, everyone there admired America too. People would often tell me that the "Amis" meant the difference
between night and day in their lives. By "night" they meant East Germany, where their former compatriots were scraping along
under economic privation and Stasi brutality. That was then.
But in September 2002, a German cabinet minister, Herta
Dauebler-Gmelin, had the nerve to compare Mr. Bush to Hitler. In one post-Iraq-war poll 40% of Canada's teenagers called
the U.S. "evil," and even before the fall of Saddam 57% of Greeks answered "neither" when asked which country was more democratic,
the U.S. or Iraq.
Sowing the seeds of anti-Americanism by discrediting the American president was one of the main tasks
of the Soviet-bloc intelligence community during the years I worked at its top levels. This same strategy is at work today,
but it is regarded as bad manners to point out the Soviet parallels. For communists, only the leader counted, no matter the
country, friend or foe. At home, they deified their own ruler – as to a certain extent still holds true in Russia. Abroad,
they asserted that a fish starts smelling from the head, and they did everything in their power to make the head of the Free
World stink.
The communist effort to generate hatred for the American president began soon after President Truman set
up NATO and propelled the three Western occupation forces to unite their zones to form a new West German nation. We were
tasked to take advantage of the reawakened patriotic feelings stirring in the European countries that had been subjugated
by the Nazis, in order to shift their hatred for Hitler over into hatred for Truman – the leader of the new "occupation power."
Western Europe was still grateful to the U.S. for having restored its freedom, but it had strong leftist movements that we
secretly financed. They were like putty in our hands.
The European leftists, like any totalitarians, needed a tangible
enemy, and we gave them one. In no time they began beating their drums decrying President Truman as the "butcher of Hiroshima."
We went on to spend many years and many billions of dollars disparaging subsequent presidents: Eisenhower as a war-mongering
"shark" run by the military-industrial complex; Johnson as a mafia boss who had bumped off his predecessor, Nixon as a petty
tyrant; Ford as a dimwitted football player; Jimmy Carter as a bumbling peanut farmer.
In 1978, when I left Romania
for good, the bloc intelligence community had already collected 700 million signatures on a "Yankees-Go-Home" petition, at
the same time launching the slogan "Europe for the Europeans."
During the Vietnam War we spread vitriolic stories around
the world, pretending that America's presidents sent Genghis Khan-style barbarian soldiers to Vietnam who raped at random,
taped electrical wires to human genitals, cut off limbs, blew up bodies and razed entire villages. Those weren't facts. They
were our tales, but some seven million Americans ended up being convinced their own president, not communism, was the
enemy. As Yuri Andropov, who conceived this dezinformatsiya war against the U.S., used to tell me, people are more willing
to believe smut than holiness.
The final goal of our anti-American offensive was to discourage the U.S. from protecting
the world against communist terrorism and expansion. Sadly, we succeeded. After U.S. forces precipitously pulled out of
Vietnam, the victorious communists massacred some two million people in Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia. Another million tried
to escape, but many died in the attempt. This tragedy also created a credibility gap between America and the rest of the
world, damaged the cohesion of American foreign policy, and poisoned domestic debate in the U.S.
Unfortunately, partisans
today have taken a page from the old Soviet playbook. At the 2004 Democratic National Convention, for example, Bush critics
continued our mud-slinging at America's commander in chief. One speaker, Martin O'Malley, now governor of Maryland, had earlier
in the summer stated he was more worried about the actions of the Bush administration than about al Qaeda. On another
occasion, retired four-star general Wesley Clark gave Michael Moore a platform to denounce the American Commander-in-Chief
as a "deserter." And visitors to the national chairman of the Democratic Party had to step across a doormat depicting the
American president surrounded by the words, "Give Bush the Boot."
Competition is indeed the engine that has driven
the American dream forward, but unity in time of war has made America the leader of the world. During World War II, 405,399
Americans died to defeat Nazism, but their country of immigrants remained sturdily united. The U.S. held national elections
during the war, but those running for office entertained no thought of damaging America's international prestige in their
quest for personal victory. Republican challenger Thomas Dewey declined to criticize President Roosevelt's war policy. At
the end of that war, a united America rebuilt its vanquished enemies. It took seven years to turn Nazi Germany and imperial
Japan into democracies, but that effort generated an unprecedented technological explosion and 50 years of unmatched prosperity
for us all.
Now we are again at war. It is not the president's war. It is America's war, authorized by 296 House
members and 76 senators. I do not intend to join the armchair experts on the Iraq war. I do not know how we should handle
this war, and they don't know either. But I do know that if America's political leaders, Democrat and Republican, join together
as they did during World War II, America will win. Other wise, terrorism will win. Abu Musab al-Zarqawi predicted just
before being killed: "We fight today in Iraq, tomorrow in the land of the Holy Places, and after there in the West."
On
July 28, I celebrated 29 years since President Carter signed off on my request for political asylum, and I am still tremendously
proud that the leader of the Free World granted me my freedom. During these years I have lived here under five presidents
– some better than others – but I have always felt that I was living in paradise. My American citizenship has given me a
feeling of pride, hope and security that is surpassed only by the joy of simply being alive. There are millions of other
immigrants who are equally proud that they restarted their lives from scratch in order to be in this magnanimous country.
I appeal to them to help keep our beloved America united and honorable. We may not be able to change the habits of our current
political representatives, but we may be able to introduce healthy new blood into the U.S. Congress.
For once, the
communists got it right. It is America's leader that counts. Let's return to the traditions of presidents who accepted nothing
short of unconditional surrender from our deadly enemies. Let's vote next year for people who believe in America's future,
not for the ones who live in the Cold War past.
I recently learned that a vote had been taken in the United States
Senate which would have declared English as the official language of the United States. I feel that establishing a language
as the official language is an important factor in the continued strength of the country. No power has ever survived once
their language began to be diluted.
The United States was organized and constituted by English-speaking men. Our entire
heritage has always been based upon the English language. Indeed, at one time, before there was the overriding desire in
some quarters to attempt to appease everyone and not offend anyone, English was, if not officially then by tradition and custom,
the language of our great country. Those hoping to become citizens had to master the written and spoken language in order
to take the citizenship examination. This is a critical factor that our fore fathers understood and practiced. No country
can long survive when there is more than one language.
The problem has become so great that even our elections are
now conducted in multi-language formats. Citizens should need to be citizens in all aspects, not just in those facets in
which they are comfortable, but in all respects. Maintaining cultural identity with their former country is acceptable, so
long as their loyalty is with their new country. No one can maintain loyalty to two countries. Anyone who is allowed to
vote in our country should be able to communicate with all citizens. The current situation cannot stand. In no other country
is there a case where election ballots are printed in several languages.
Citizens have a responsibility to their country.
If anyone is not capable of – or too lazy – to learn the language of their adopted country, that person has no business engaging
in the activities of the government.
Too many of our United States Senators and Representatives feel that everyone
should be allowed to vote, whether they have to vote in a foreign language or in English. Further, far too many people are
allowed to vote who should not have that privilege simply because they are not citizens. But that is grist for another article.
Many
very wise Americans have spoken on the topic of the war we are fighting for our very survival. I’m not referring to only
the war that is going on in Iraq. I refer to the longer struggle that is being brought to us by the Jihadists that have stolen
the Islamic religion and made it something it was never meant to be. The mullahs leading the extremists in their jihad care
nothing about human kind. They care nothing about the sanctity of life. They care nothing about their followers or their
families. They especially care nothing about you and me or our families. The goal of the leaders of the Islamic terrorists
is the complete destruction of anything Western. They do not care to assimilate Western nations and their citizens into the
fold of Islam – they want to kill us all. That is their goal. That is their passion.
We better start talking about
the shape of the table now because this country doesn't have the stomach to face what is coming!
Newt Gingrich recently
gave a speech in New Hampshire. Apparently it is causing a firestorm on the Left. Too many Americans do not want to hear
the truth, and the truth frightens them into inaction. What we need is action.
NEWT GINGRICH:
Here is a
portion of the speech Newt made. It is a call to action – NOW. We cannot wait, we cannot pamper, we cannot cajole the enemy.
“The
third thing I want to talk about very briefly is the genuine danger of terrorism, in particular terrorists using weapons of
mass destruction and weapons of mass murder, nuclear and biological weapons. And I want to suggest to you that right now
we should be impaneling people to look seriously at a level of supervision that we would never dream of if it weren't for
the scale of threat.
”Let me give you two examples. When the British this summer arrested people who were planning
to blow up ten airliners in one day, they arrested a couple who were going to use their six month old baby in order to hide
the bomb as baby milk.
”Now, if I come to you tonight and say that there are people on the planet who hate you, and
they are 15 – 25 year old males who are willing to die as long as they get to kill you, I've simply described the warrior
culture which has been true historically for 6 or 7 thousand years.
”But, if I come to you and say that there is a
couple that hates you so much that they will kill their six month old baby in order to kill you, I am describing a level of
ferocity, and a level of savagery beyond anything we have tried to deal with.
”And, what is truly frightening about
the British experience is they are arresting British citizens, born in Britain, speaking English, who went to British schools,
live in British housing, and have good jobs.
”This is a serious long term war, and it will inevitably lead us to want
to know what is said in every suspect place in the country, that will lead us to learn how to close down every website that
is dangerous, and it will lead us to a very severe approach to people who advocate the killing of Americans and advocate the
use of nuclear or biological weapons.
”And, my prediction to you is that either before we lose a city, or if we are
truly stupid, after we lose a city, we will adopt rules of engagement that use every technology we can find to break up their
capacity to use the Internet, to break up their capacity to use free speech, and to go after people who want to kill us to
stop them from recruiting people before they get to reach out and convince young people to destroy their lives while destroying
us.
”This is a serious problem that will leads to a serious debate about the first amendment, but I think that the
national security threat of losing an American city to a nuclear weapon, or losing several million Americans to a biological
attack is so real that we need to proactively, now, develop the appropriate rules of engagement.
”And, I further think
that we should propose a Geneva convention for fighting terrorism which makes very clear that those who would fight outside
the rules of law, those who would use weapons of mass destruction, and those who would target civilians are in fact subject
to a totally different set of rules that allow us to protect civilization by defeating barbarism before it gains so much strength
that it is truly horrendous.
”This is a sober topic, but I think it is a topic we need a national dialogue about, and
we need to get ahead of the curve rather than wait until actually we literary lose a city which could literally happen within
the next decade if we are unfortunate. So!
”This is a very sober description of the Islamic terrorist threat we are
faced with. We are NOW at war with a culture that wants, not to take over our land, but to KILL us.”
The speech
George W. Bush SHOULD give: Normally, I start these things out by saying "My fellow Americans." I’m not doing
it this time. If the polls are any indication, I don't know who more than half of you are anymore. I know something terrible
has happened, and that you're really not fellow Americans any longer. I'll cut right to the chase here: I quit. Now
before anyone gets all in a lather about me quitting to avoid impeachment, or to avoid prosecution or something, let me assure
you, there's been no breaking of laws or impeachable offenses in this office. The reason I'm quitting is simple. I'm
fed up with you people. I'm fed up because you have no understanding of what's really going on in the world. Or of what's
going on in this once-great nation of ours. And the majority of you are too damned lazy to do your homework and figure it
out. Let's start local. You've been sold a bill of goods by politicians and the news media. Polls show that the
majority of you think the economy is in the tank. And that's despite record numbers of homeowners including record numbers
of MINORITY homeowners. And while we're mentioning minorities, I'll point out that minority business ownership is at an all-time
high. Our unemployment rate is as low as it ever was during the Clinton Administration. I've mentioned all those
things before, but it doesn't seem to have sunk in. Despite the shock to our economy of 9/11, the stock market has
rebounded to record levels and more Americans than ever are participating in these markets. Meanwhile, all you can do is
whine about gas prices, and most of you are too damn stupid to realize that gas prices are high because there's increased
demand in other parts of the world, and because a small handful of noisy idiots are more worried about polar bears and beachfront
property than your economic security. We face real threats in the world. Don't give me this "blood for oil" thing.
If I was trading blood for oil I would've already seized Iraq's oil fields and let the rest of the country go to hell. And
don't give me this 'Bush Lied People Died' crap either. If I was the liar you morons take me for, I could've easily had chemical
weapons planted in Iraq so they could be 'discovered.' Instead, I owned up to the fact that the intelligence was faulty.
Let me remind you that the rest of the world thought Saddam had the goods, same as me. Let me also remind you that regime
change in Iraq was official US policy before I came into office. Some guy named 'Clinton' established that policy. Bet you
didn't know that, did you? You idiots need to understand that we face a unique enemy. Back during the cold war, there
were two major competing political and economic models squaring off. We won that war, but we did so because fundamentally,
the Communists wanted to survive, just as we do. We were simply able to outspend and out-tech them. That's not the
case this time. The soldiers of our new enemy don't care if they survive. In fact, they want to die. That'd be fine, as long
as they weren't also committed to taking as many of you with them as they can. But they are. They want to kill you. And
the bastards are all over the globe. You should be grateful that they haven't gotten any more of us here in the United
States since September 11. But you're not. That's because you've got no idea how hard a small number of intelligence, military,
law enforcement and homeland security people have worked to make sure of that. When this whole mess started, I warned you
that this would be a long and difficult fight. I'm disappointed how many of you people think a long and difficult fight amounts
to a single season of 'Survivor'. Instead, you've grown impatient. You're incapable of seeing things through the
long lens of history, the way our enemies do. You think that wars should last a few months, a few years, tops. Making
matters worse, you actively support those who help the enemy. Every time you buy the New York Times, every time you send
a donation to a cut-and-run Democrat's political campaign, well, dammit, you might just as well Fedex a grenade launcher to
a Jihadist. It amounts to the same thing. In this day and age, it's easy enough to find the truth. It's all over
the Internet. It just isn't on the pages of the New York Times or on NBC News. But even if it were, I doubt you'd be any
smarter. Most of you would rather watch American Idol. I could say more about your expectations that the government
will always be there to bail you out, even if you're too stupid to leave a city that's below sea level and has a hurricane
approaching. I could say more about your insane belief that government, not your own wallet, is where the money comes from.
But I've come to the conclusion that were I to do so, it would sail right over your heads. So I quit. I' m going
back to Crawford. I've got an energy-efficient house down there (Al Gore could only dream) and the capability to be fully
self-sufficient. No one ever heard of Crawford before I got elected, and as soon as I'm done here pretty much no one will
ever hear of it again. Maybe I'll be lucky enough to die of old age before the last pillars of America fall. Oh,
and by the way, Cheney's quitting too. That means Pelosi is your new President. You asked for it. Watch what she does carefully,
because I still have a glimmer of hope that they're just enough of you remaining who are smart enough to turn this thing around
in 2008. So that's it. God bless what's left of America. Some of you know what I mean. The rest of you,
try to talk to your representative and see how far you will get!
Here is a pot-pourri of ideas generated by great
minds.
Back when Colin Powell was Secretary of State he was being interviewed in England by a group of international
reporters when a reporter asked him: "Does America expect to retain control of any of the territory you have conquered recently?"
Powell
slowly responded with: "Yes. We will surely retain control of some territory. It will be like the territory we retained
in France after World War II. If you will check you will see that we retained an area of about six feet by three feet for
each American lost in France who is buried there."
Then there was a conference in France where a number of international
engineers were taking part.
During a break one of the French engineers came back into the room saying "Have you heard
the latest dumb stunt Bush has done? He has sent an aircraft carrier to Indonesia to help the tsunami victims. What does
he intend to do, bomb them?"
A Boeing engineer stood up and replied quietly: "Our carriers have three hospitals
on board that can treat several hundred people; they are nuclear powered and can supply emergency electrical power to shore
facilities; they have three cafeterias with the capacity to feed 3,000 people three meals a day, they can produce several
thousand gallons of fresh water from sea water each day, and they carry half a dozen helicopters for use in transporting victims
and injured to and from their flight deck. We have eleven such ships; how many does France have?"
Once again, dead
silence. (natch...frogs can't talk.)
A U.S. Navy Admiral was attending a naval conference that included Admirals
from the U.S., English, Canadian, Australian and French Navies.
At a cocktail reception, he found himself standing
with a large group of Officers that included personnel from most of those countries.
Everyone was chatting away in
English as they sipped their drinks but a French admiral suddenly complained that, 'whereas Europeans learn many languages,
Americans learn only English.' He then asked, 'Why is it that we always have to speak English in these conferences rather
than speaking French?'
Without hesitating, the American Admiral replied 'Maybe it's because the Brits, Canadians,
Aussies and Americans arranged it so you wouldn't have to speak German.'
General of the Army and President of the
United States Dwight D. Eisenhower once said: "History does not entrust the care of freedom to the weak or timid."
General
Dwight Eisenhower
It is a matter of history that when Supreme Commander of the Allied Forces, General Dwight Eisenhower,
found the victims of the death camps, he ordered all possible photographs to be taken, and for the German people from surrounding
villages to be ushered through the camps and even made to bury the dead.
He did this because he said in words to
this effect: “Get it all on record now – get the films – get the witnesses – because somewhere down the track of History some
bastard will get up and say that this never happened!”
Edmund Burke said: “All that is necessary for the triumph of
evil is for good men to do nothing.”
IN MEMORIAL of the HOLOCAUST
Recently, the UK removed the Holocaust
from its school curriculum because it 'offended' the Muslin population – which claims it never occurred.
This is a
frightening portent of the fear that is gripping the world and how easily each country is giving into it.
It is now
over 60 years since the end of the Second World War. Let us remember that during that turbulent period the world lost:
Six
million Jews 20 million Russians 10 million Christians and 1,900 Catholic priests
These innocents were murdered,
massacred, raped, burned, starved and humiliated while the German and Russian people looked the other way. After all, it
was not happening to them!
Now, more than ever, with Iran among others claiming the Holocaust to be a myth, it is imperative
to make sure the world never forgets. The Holocaust did not simply destroy one set of people, it affected every citizen,
past, present, and future, of this blue planet we call home.
LET’S BE SPECIFIC
Due to the thunderous applause
that I received from the far-left over the “I Am Tired” letter written by one of our troops in Iraq, I thought it prudent
to follow up with one last attempt to be very specific about what I have observed and actually personally encountered during
my 36 years of service to this Great Country. This will be a one time attempt to reach some of those who are confused by
the far-left and their ilk’s unethical ranting and give some insight through my personal experience as a professional military
officer over the years. These examples are but a few. In real life there were many more which space and time will not allow.
As
a young fighter pilot, flying F-4s in Vietnam, I was stopped in my tracks by the decisions made by Lyndon Johnson and Robert
McNamara. I was young and naive, but even then I knew their daily interference was wrong and would not allow us to win this
thing and go home. Decisions like not allowing us to strike enemy aircraft while still on the ground, keeping real targets
off the target list, and allowing us to strike only rusted-out trucks made us basically a toothpick factory. However, the
big one for me came the day I saw the President Lyndon Johnson on television, forcefully lying to the American people. I’ll
never forget the language, “I want to assure the American people that the United States of America has never, and will never,
bomb or use force inside the borders of Cambodia”. On and on he disavowed the reports that this was happening. I was amazed.
Guess where I had put several F-4 loads of 750 pound general purpose bombs every day for the past five days. You guessed
it, Cambodia!!! So much for Mr. Johnson. The only question in my mind was simply, “Was it just Johnson or was it the methodology
of a particular political party?” I decided to delay answering that question until more experience was gained.
Years
passed, and I ignored politics as much as possible, as a good military man should. Then came Jimmy Carter. Our young people
don’t remember 18% interest rates and 18% inflation, but I’ll bet someone in your family does. That is one really bad thing
Carter did for our country, but it is not the worst. During this period, I was an F-15 Squadron Commander, located at Langley
AFB, VA. Jimmy Carter and his democratic party stopped spare parts procurement for almost every weapon system in our military,
and diverted the funds to social programs. The F-15 was brand new at the time with leading edge technology designed to provide
air superiority anywhere in the world on a moments notice. That was my job. I loved it, but guess what? In a two year period
from 1979 to 1981, there was not one day when more that one-third of my assigned aircraft were flyable. It is amazing the
lengths we went to in those days, cannibalizing parts, expending twice the time and energy to fix every little item, and still
two-thirds of the birds were always broken because of no spare parts. Had this country faced a really serious military threat
during that time frame, only Montana Hunters could have saved us. The military had some equipment, but it was all broken.
Do you want to know the really bad part for me and the young fighter pilots working for me? Our flying sortie rate was so
low that pilot proficiency dropped to dangerous levels. The accident rate tripled. That obviously was totally unacceptable,
as we were losing expensive airplanes and highly trained young pilots at a rate comparable to losses seen in actual combat.
All of a sudden, even a Texas Aggie like me began to see a trend.
Forward a few years to 1986. I am an F-16 Wing Commander
at MacDill AFB, Florida, and Ronald Regan is president. His change in attitude and policy toward the military had time to
fix the spare parts problem. We were flying 26,000 flying sorties per year out of MacDill AFB, my aircraft fully mission
capable rate (FMC) was above 90%, the aircraft accident rate was below 1.75 per hundred thousand flying hours, fighter pilots
were flying and proficiency levels were at an all time high. The United States Air Force was ready to defend this Wonderful
Country. Proof of the pudding is simple. Look what the USAF, and the military in general, accomplished in Iraq during Desert
Storm. And, they did it in less than 100 hours. Yeah, at this point I was starting to realize there was a difference in mentality
between Democrats and Republicans, or should I say the Left and the Right.
Then, came everyone’s favorite---Bill Clinton.
If there ever was an individual 180 degrees out of sync with the ideals and the values of the US military, it was Clinton.
He was a known draft dodger, military hating, self absorbed, unspeakingly shameless and immoral individual, who the Left managed
to elect President of the United States of America. Clinton’s antics in the White House would have brought court martial,
conviction, and Dishonorable Discharge had he been a military member. We still suffer oral sex on school buses, because the
President told the world it wasn’t real sex, and some of our children believed him. It took a lot of years, but now I became
certain. There is a big difference in the right and the left on all fronts, and for the first time I started feeling angry
and shamed that the majority of the American people were actually willing to vote for such an individual.
Sometimes,
an abstract such as the following tells the story in very simple terms: Jane Fonda, Tom Hayden, Lyndon Johnson, Robert McNamara,
George Soros, Ted Kennedy, Howard Dean, Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, Michael Moore, Tim Robbins, Susan Sarandon, Sean Penn,
Nancy Pelosi, Barbra Boxer, John Kerry, Benedict Arnold, and the list goes on. America, wake up. In my opinion, giving in
to the likes of these people could allow Abraham Lincoln’s prediction of destruction from within to come true. There is not
a country in the world that can be considered a conventional military threat to the United States today. However, this country
faces a new kind of threat---one that will not go away. It is a threat even more serious that WWII, because money, industry
and technology will not defeat it. It is a threat of defeat from within. It is a threat of a faltering economy because of
a lack of resources, or the even the simple threat of such a loss brought on by terrorism. It is a threat created by the
American people trusting the inept. It is a threat created by the people wanting change, and perilously believing that the
left can successfully deliver that change. Have you seen anything from the left that remotely resembles an answer to the
Iraq situation? Have you seen anything more than continued Bush-Bashing? Is that an answer? If there was ever a need for
a strong, well trained military, it is now. THE LEFT HAS HISTORICALLY DISMANTLED OUR MILITARY IN THE NAME OF REDISTRUBITION
OF WEALTH FAVORING SOCIAL PROGRAMS. We just cannot afford to let that happen now. If we do, the entire country may be bowing
to the east several times a day within the next 50 years, maybe sooner.
Now a final thought meant to upset as many
as possible on the far-left. As you might guess, I don’t believe in political correctness. So, let’s look at the facts, not
far-left rhetoric attempting to empower the democratic party. Initially, I was not a George Bush fan. I am not even a Republican.
I normally vote Republican, because of my total despise of Communism, Socialism and the far-left in this country. I am a
Conservative. However, during his watch, I feel President Bush just happened to stumble upon the leading edge of the greatest
threat this country has ever faced. Mistakes have been made, because of the newness of the threat. Overall, the President
has done a superb job dealing the threat, and at the same time held off the constant ranting, raving, deceitful and malicious
escapades of the far-left attempting to regain political power. IF THERE WAS EVER A TIME THE COUNTRY NEEDS TO COME TOGETHER
AND BACK OUR PRESIDENT, IT IS RIGHT NOW. WITHOUT CONCENSUS WE ARE EMPOWERING THE TERRORIST!!!! I feel the far-left is totally
absorbed with a power struggle and regaining control of congress. They could care less about defeating the threat. It literally
disgusts me to hear the constant disagreement with everything the President tries to do, all in the name of trying to make
him look bad to the voters. Unfortunately, by the time the American people really appreciate how bad the far-left really
is, it may too late.
What are the real facts? On the home front this country’s economy is the strongest that it has
been in my lifetime. Interest rates are as low as they were when I was in high school forty years ago. Inflation does not
exist for all practical purposes. For you youngster’s, please remember the Jimmy Carter comments? The Dow is approaching
13,000. Unemployment is nonexistent. Wages are at an all time high. Home ownership is at an all time high. Taxes have been
lowered to an almost acceptable level. Because of the surging economy the deficient is under control and projected to go
away far ahead of schedule. The far-left is rich beyond its wildest dreams, so Mr. President when are you going to “fix”
all these domestic problems? Give me a break!!!!
On the war front this country has not been touched since 2001. I
remember being part of a seminar at the USAF War College in 1983 discussing the terrorist threat. There were some good minds
at that table and a lot of disagreement. However, one common thought was that the US would be hit within the next five years.
Answers to the terrorist threat were just as hard to come by then as they are now. Well, it took a little longer than the
projection, but the attack occurred. For an old military guy like me, the main point here is that it has not happened again.
We have suckered the bad guys into entering the fight somewhere other than in our country. To hell with political correctness.
The President can’t say this, but I sure can. I smile every morning when I get up and realize that one of our great cities
has not been blown away. And, there is zero doubt in my mind that if we pull out of Iraq prematurely, that will happen within
a short period of time after our departure. I don’t care what you might think of President Bush personally. He has done
the best he can with what he has, and this country is not smoking because of it. So, the anti-American, Bush hating far-left
should back off. They honestly don’t have a clue about what they are talking about, and they are doing irreparable damage
to our country.
I realize there are different points of view on war, and I do not believe the meek will inherit the
earth, at least not in the next few hundred years. To those of the far-left, who will undoubtedly respond to this letter,
let me say, “This is a strong country!!!” It has survived the uneducated thinking of the far-left before, and I’ll just bet
it will again. Regardless of who is President, the people will not tolerate mass explosions on a daily basis, as our good
friends in Israel have been forced to do. To protect that position of power, even Hillary will be forced to become a true
hawk. To guarantee a few more votes Ted Kennedy may be forced to begin supporting a strong military. One more attack on
America might even wipe the giddy, ‘I-am-finally-somebody’ grin from Nancy Pelosi’s face, and make her realize that is not
about votes and personal power. IT IS ABOUT PROTECTING THIS GREAT COUNTRY FROM ALL ENEMIES, BOTH FOREIGN AND DOMESTIC.

A Personal Thought
Having had the opportunity to spend six and one half
years working in Saudi Arabia, I personally have a few observations about the Arab, and specifically, the Islamist mind.
Theirs is a society couched in the very real religion of Islam. Islam, in and of itself, is an honorable institution founded
by the very real profit of God, Mohammad (may He rest in peace). From their earliest teachings the children learn that Allah
is God, and Mohammad is the last profit. This is very good, however there are elements within the religion that have subverted
the meaning of the true nature of Islam.
Radicals who have, for their own aggrandizement and usurpation of power, use
the religion of Islam for their own purposes. They preach hate of anything and everything Western that does not conform to
their very narrow view of belief. As the forefront of progress in the world, the United States is their focus of hatred.
And, again, because of religious beliefs, the Islamists hate anything and everything about Israel!.
Do not be disillusioned,
Islamist radicals DO NOT want to assimilate the western world into their culture. They want to kill and annihilate western
culture. Converting Christians, or any other religious sect, to Islam is not one of their prime goals. They want to destroy
the west, western culture, and westerners (those who do not believe the same way they do), and will kill you in any manner
they can. They do not care about life. Indeed, it is preached by many of the religious leaders that to die in their quest
for world dominance will ensure them a place near Allah. They will blow themselves up if they can kill you. They will destroy
airplanes loaded with innocent people, and gladly die in the crash if they can kill you. They will kill your children in
their schools, and gladly die themselves, as long as they can kill you!
When I returned to Saudi Arabia in 1990 to
take a position in the Royal Flight performance and planning department I arrived in the midst of chaos. The Royal family
was being evacuated in preparation for an attack on the country from Iraq. With the activity going on at the time, there
was no time for me to become involved in an orderly operation, and I was told to simply go to the swimming pool and wait for
further developments. After a month with nothing changing I decided to return home. When I discussed my plans with the senior
Royal Flight pilot, my supervisor, a man I had considered to be a friend, he said that if I even tried to do that he would
shoot me. That afternoon this man was called to fly yet another member of the Royal Family out of the Kingdom. I immediately
obtained an exit visa, purchased a ticket to London, and left the Kingdom. What he had said, he said in all seriousness.
The concept alarmed me. He meant what he said, and I have not looked back.
So, America, and ALL other Western nations
should be very careful. There will be another attack. When, we don’t know. Where, we don’t know. But be very clear on
this one point, the Jihadists and Islamists are not finished with their march of hatred. And we are in their path!
